Minutes for the meeting of the Kernow Hang gliding and Paragliding Association held at St Rumon’s Social Club on Thursday 10th May 2012
Welcome Chairman Steve welcomed 17 members attending and opened the meeting at 8.05

Regular reports
Competitions: BOS over the May bank holiday in SE Wales. On the Friday to Pontlottyn but nobody got away. Sat, a 105km task set from the Malverns which saw 1 pilot in goal. Sunday a 90km zig-zag course had 6 in goal. Mon a rest day. Tues to Merthyr for a 70km task with 6 in goal. 4 days flying in a very good competition.
Club flying: Lots of flying at Carbis again this month
Incidents: Sec Chris ground looped at Carbis. No damage, basic take off skills need reinforcing.
A student of the school broke their arm on a hang glider by not letting go.
Other business.
Steve Penaluna Trophy Awarded this year to Michel after a vote by the members. The other nominees were Graham Austin, Adie Chrigwin, Mike Clelford and Raymond Mickleburgh. All of the nominated pilots received a description of the reasons for having their name put forward.
Club logo The entries were whittled down to a short(er) list of 6, plus the old logo, plus any new entries to be decided at the next meeting. Votes are on line requested 1 week before the Jun meeting to pick a final three for the last round
BOS weekends Adie & Chair Steve will act as first POC for anybody wanting to come along and hopefully increase their flying skills.
Ideas for updating the Sites Guides Are still required
Gwenvor Site to be taken off our website The owner has asked that the site is no longer on line. KHPA pilots may fly with permission, please knock and ask first.
