Site Description: A sandy hill. near the coast but facing inland.
Altitude: 195 feet Height Top to Bottom: 165 feet
How to get there: From the east on the A30 to the roundabout east of Hayle. Straight on toward Hayle. 1st Right to Gwithian. Thro’ Gwithian until the road bends right after a bridge. Turn left to site.

Bottom Landing Notes: Watch out for lumps and bumps and wet areas after serious rain.

Hazards: Can be very thermic and turbulent. Used for training and by model aircraft.

Restricted Areas

Airspace: This site is in a Military Low Flying Area. If flying inland be aware of Penzance Heliport ATZ and Lands End Airport ATZ. but they will be upwind!!!

XC Tips: Don’t go far without your water wings. South Wales is a long way off. 

Met Services: Dialmet is available for RAF St. Mawgan and RNAS Culdrose.
