How to get there: From the A3078 follow the signs to Carne Village (not beach)

Vehicle Access & Parking: Park tidily in field as shown on map but do not restrict access as owner lives nearby and comes and goes. The house adjacent is not the landowners they live in the next one.

Rules and Restrictions: The field we fly from is the landowners front garden and whilst very amenable please do not give them any reason not to be.

Whilst Flying:

  • Do not unnecessarily hang around above peoples properties.

  • Respect people’s privacy and do not take photos of their properties.

  • Do not eject any material into any properties.

  • Do not shout down to any members of the public regardless of provocation.

Rigging Notes: Keep top landing and overshoot areas clear.

Marshalling: Use common sense and consideration for others. Can all pilots using the site be considerate of others please, and not leave unattended gliders blocking access to the launch. Hang gliders especially require room to manoeuvre along the front to launch

Launch Notes: The hedge in front of launch can create turbulence and sink. choose your take off point carefully depending on wind direction and strength.

Top Landing Notes: Straight forward for Paraglidiers, hang Gliders be aware of field sloping away towards launch.

Bottom Landing Notes: Good beach landing when tide out although can be busy in summer with holiday makers. Some emergency and slope landing available for Paragliders but beware of turbulence.

Hazards: Lack of bottom landing as tide comes in. Hedges.
