Our sites

Flying sites are our biggest asset, the KHPA put a lot of time and effort into negotiating and maintaining access to them. Good relationships with the land owners and tenants is paramount in this. Please check out site guides regularly before flying as things do change through out the year at some sites.

Where possible KHPA sites are open to all BHPA flying members but a few sites are members only, some with accompanied guests, we would ask all pilots to respect this to ensure their future use.

Perranporth

Large sand dunes and cliffs overlooking a huge surf beach. Ideal for training and early soaring. This site is in the middle of a popular holiday destination so can be busy in the Summer months.

Sandy Cliffs overlooking a big beach. very busy with holiday makers in season.

St Agnes

A cliff site with ABSOLUTELY NO BOTTOM LANDING. Beware – Perranporth Airfield Drop Zone begins just to the right of launch (i.e. towards St Agnes village). All pilots must also ensure that they do not fly in the NO FLY ZONE as marked in red on the map below.

Carn Brea

A rough and rocky inland hill with rocks, holes and pits covered by gorse and ferns. Normally fairly turbulent due to thermic activity.

A scenic cliff site with minimal bottom landing and only at very low tide. Good top landing. Seasonal use only and prior notification required, see full site guide
